01are you product or design?
both, and that is the point. ali led product and design together at QLU and Seconds, so decisions about what to build and how it works get made in one head instead of argued across two teams.
02we already have a product and design team. why would we need you?
senior capacity for what your team cannot absorb: a new product line, a feature nobody has bandwidth to own, or a bet that needs someone who has shipped it before. we work beside your team, not over it, and we hand everything back.
03we already know what to build. can you just execute?
yes. bring us a defined scope and we design and ship it. the product thinking is there when you want it, not forced on you when you don't.
04what exactly do i have at the end of the week?
a live URL you can share, and the repository with the source code. if figma was used along the way, you get that too.
05do i own the code?
yes. everything transfers to you on delivery, no licensing, no lock-in, nothing held back.
06what stack do you build in?
react, next.js and tailwind by default. if your product already has a front end, we work in your stack and match your existing conventions instead of imposing ours.
07what about the backend?
the sprint covers design and working front end. we wire into your existing API, or stub the data so your engineers can connect it. backend stays with your team, which is why the week stays a week.
08how much of my time does this take?
about two hours: one kickoff call and one review. we do not run daily standups or send status decks.
09what if the direction is wrong?
you approve the direction on day two, before anything gets built. that is the checkpoint. after build there is one revision round included.
10how do we work across time zones?
async by default, with overlap hours booked for the kickoff and review. you get progress on a live preview URL instead of waiting for a meeting.
11who actually does the work?
every engagement is scoped, directed, and signed off by ali. execution comes from a senior bench assembled per project. one accountable lead, always. no account managers, no junior handoff.
12why not just hire someone full-time?
you should, eventually. a senior product hire takes months to find and costs six figures a year. this is that judgment available this month, without the search.
13can you just do a whole MVP?
yes, but not in one sprint. a sprint proves the working relationship on one flow. from there we scope the full build or move to a monthly engagement.
